Say what you will, but I have not seen any evidence that Qigong will lengthen your lifespan. On the contrary all qigong masters I have heard of died at normal ages (or even early). Many tend to get cancer or other similar problems that normal non practitioners get. Qigong can help to prevent and reverse some disease processes in some cases. Even John Chang admitted his system of Mopai WILL NOT MAKE YOU LIVE LONGER. Yet you still have the groupies swearing That John Chang would live forever etc etc. Not sure where they get these false notions from. As we know John Chang unfortunately died this year. He died of normal causes. He lived to be in his late 70's or early 80's.

Jeanne Louise Calment (21 February 1875 – 4 August 1997) had the longest living person confirmed human life span in history, living to the age of 122 years, 164 days.
Longest living human documented is about 125 years.
And for the record I have not seen a single qigong practitioner (let alone a practitioner of neigong/neidan) that lived to 125 years of age, can you name one?
I don't think 125 years of age would be a good measure of a "normal healthy lifespan"
Yes I get what you are saying, and I've heard something similar to what you are saying from many different sources. However I have not seen any reliable evidence of such claims. Have you? That's not to say it doesn't exist, but I have a few issues with such claims which I will outline below
Let's visit some examples, John Chang died at a normal age (from a degenerative disease mind you) (and he certainly was not at the beginning of the path, at least in the mopai path) I bring him up because many on the taobums used to talk about how he achieved the fountain of youth etc. He certainly did a lot of amazing things, but he died at a normal age from normal age related causes.
Wang Li Ping supposedly teaches a system of Taoist Alchemy that can lengthen your life yet he appears like a normal man would of his age. My guess is that he will die at a normal age as well (this does not mean other aspects of his system are not valid I am just speaking of longevity) and the reason I bring him up is that on the Taobums and other places his students or followers talk about masters in his system reversing Grey hair, returning to youth, living hundreds of years. Yet WLP himself has some Grey hair, and according to WLP he was some prodigy chosen by his Taoist masters at a young age. something doesn't add up here. If the master of the school cant achieve abnormal longevity, what chance does a western student of his really have?
Shifu Jiang of the gengmenpai passed away in midlife, in his case the circumstances of his death were however unclear to me
Specifically I would ask you what is your source for such claims? What school(s) are you citing material from? In those schools what percent of students actually are able to lengthen their life?
My most basic point is even If such a thing is possible, and even if you have a system to do such things, what percent of students who have access to these things are actually able to do it? Specifically outsiders like westerners?
From what I've seen the percent is exactly 0%
Qigong is just the beginning of spiritual cultivation. There is a part of it where you can extend your life past what the heavens have allotted to you, and what is known to the world, past 125 years of age, however no many who figure this out. You can live to your full potential of what is allotted to you because of good health. Which you should try to gain this good health through Qi-Gong.
So there are multiple parts to this..
1- Your Life Span based on your health.
2- Your life span determined by the heavens
3- Your life span determined by your deeds/karma. Some say this method can extend your life to what is humanly possible now.. under 125 years of age.
